Wrong Job Description

Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) is recently quoted as saying, "It's now time for the Congress to step forward and establish responsible boundaries and conditions for our continued military involvement in Iraq."

With all due respect, Congressman, that's not in your job description. Congress ONLY controls the funding, not the direction, of war. (FYI, for all you liberals and wayward Congressmen, the direction of the war goes through the Executive Branch via the Commander-in-Chief.) So, Congressman, you can either vote to fund or de-fund the war, but that's as far as your authority goes. Until you become President (God forbid), you're apparently looking at the wrong job description.
